I enjoy books written in first-person it makes the novel seem more mysterious. I also like the fact that the book has a lot of dialogues. The plot reminds me of some movies where the protagonist discovers a secret information of a big company and gets involved in various perilous situations. I might try it. Congrats on BOTD!

The opening line of the book was enough to pique my interest, despite the fact that this isn't my typical genre. That said, it's your mention of the humor interwoven through out that really decides me. I'm going to give this book a try. Thanks for your review!

What a great review. Thorough and insightful. I am looking forward to reading this book, and this review has provided a well-rounded overview of the story. I did smile with your opening paragraph advising people not to be put off by British-English usage - as an Australian, this is my kind of spelling

Very "Inception" ish sounding story. I think it would be a fascinating read!

I'm looking forward to checking this out. It's been a while since I last read a mystery novel. While first-person is not my favorite perspective, I don't despise it. The humor you mention sounds like a promising bonus. Thank you for the recommendation and your helpful review.

This book has some intriguing themes. The development of virtual reality and deep fake videos can indeed change our perception of reality. The fascinating themes and the humor are appealing aspects of this book. This looks good! Thanks for the recommendation.

Thank you for the review! I am looking forward to sampling this book as I do enjoy dry, witty humor. I have also been delving into more mystery thrillers, so this seems like another winner to try. Thanks again!

Ah, it's my favorite kind of book! I haven't read it yet but I feel like this would leave my jaw hanging. I'm looking forward to my mind being blown and my eyes, opened; I really hope the ending won't disappoint. The book cover adds to the eerie feeling, too.
