I'm not sure if I'd like to read a pov that lays everything out for the reader, but it seemed like even though the author used that style he still gave justice to the story since you gave it a perfect rating. Having multiple povs in a story gives you the other side of the story, and I expect the author made the antagonists well rounded characters like they had a reason why they do their thing and not because they were just evil or something.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller novel following the newly appointed commander of the Coast Guard's Hamilton-class cutter in the Gulf of Mexico, Jacob Edwards. Edwards in his other "position" as a member of a secret task force of Naval Intelligence must prevent a plot to destroy America's oil production facilities in the Gulf. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I usually enjoy the C/T/M/H genre but I'm not a fan of this specific narrative so I'm going to pass. The way that the reviewer wrote about the plot makes it seem it might be thrilling enough for some, though.

The Commander, this book has a lot of action especially with a guy such as lieutenant Jacobs, who’s quick and ready to get the job done , especially when he caught those pirates, they were quite surprised when he showed up on the yacht and sprang into action.
I will give this book a 4 stars. Good work

I'm glad the author made sure of his accuracy regarding the Coast Guard - though I wouldn't have a clue if he hadn't! Probably because of this, I won't mind the details of the bad guys' plans since I might not actually catch on to what they were doing otherwise.
The sample pages made me want to keep reading, then your review cemented my opinion of this being a good choice to read. Unfortunately, the summary (on Amazon, at least) isn't well written. I bought it anyway... :D

This sounds like every military movie my father used to enjoy watching.
I binged-watched with him when I was young.
Definitely sounds like an action-packed adventure that's thrilling up to the last page.
Thanks for the review, and congratulations on the BOTD.

This sounds like a great action-packed military adventure. I’ll pass since this isn’t my genre of choice, but I will have that cup of joe. :coffee1-smiley: Thank you for your thorough review!
