Definitely going to read this one. Intriguing plot, intricate crime and mystery all around. One thing worth appreciation is strong female character and since I am not native English it is good that "the book is written in simple" language, but too bad about numerous errors reported. Congrats with BOTD!

Based on the excellent review and the sample of the book I read, I would definitely read the full version of Bad Karma. The story is engaging and I like how strong the female lead is. I agree that there are errors that would benefit from additional proofreading, but the book held my attention and I love reading a good mystery.

I really don't like a good book that has an interesting plot but with confusing errors. Nevertheless, I will still like to try it. Thanks for your lovely review!

I like thrillers and this book sounds interesting. Cold cases are exciting as they tend to have lots of secrets. And one of these secrets probably got Zoye's uncle killed. It will be interesting to figure out how the events unfold and whether Zoye proves that it was not an accident. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

A quest to find out the truth behind her uncle's death while risking her safety shows Zoey is truly courageous. Nothing intrigues me like following the unraveling of a mystery, I would enjoy this. Thanks for the review

An information professional takes it upon herself to find the cause of her uncle's sudden death. A strong leading character is a key ingredient in building a strong storyline so i like that this protagonist is that. The book appears to be a good read. Thanks for the review.

Sounds like a fun read, if the author will just give it another round of editing. Was Zoey's uncle a cop? Is that why he was interested in cold cases? Or a detective? Thanks for your review. I enjoyed it. :)

Zoey wasn’t convinced that his uncle’s death was an accident. She then started her own investigation to find out the truth. I wonder what Zoey would find out in the end! The premise is definitely intriguing. It’s a pity about the errors, though.

I think that considering the only errors were spelling and day placement, the overall feel of this book is quite good. I like that the main character is strong and intelligent. The genre of murder mystery can sometimes become too predictable in the storylines and characters, but this one does not fall into this category.

Many thanks for the informative review. This seems like a great mystery piece to read on a warm sunny day.

I'm especially intrigued by Zoey's role as an "information professional". It would be interesting to find out what her job entails

Worth a read, definitely.

First of all, I think the cover page of this book is interestingly attractive. The storyline is also intriuging (although I feel it's a little bit cliche). Nonetheless, the rating indicates that it would make a worthwhile read.
Thank you, Chip, for this well-written review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting crime thriller following Zoey, whose uncle dies under mysterious circumstances and no one but Zoey believes that it is nothing more than an accident. It is up to Zoey to investigate her uncle's death. This might be worth a second look. Well done.

I wonder how the title relates to her uncle and the name of the black kitten. It will be interesting to find out. Too bad, the book has errors that require another round of editing. I hope they get fixed. Thank you for sharing. Nice review!
