I don't really read "cop" books, but I like the idea that this one tells the story of criminals and the gray area of being a good cop. Thanks for the review.

Fans of crime thrillers will definitely enjoy this book. I like it that the book involves excellent characterization and tactful "exploration of pertinent themes." However, I'm not a fan of this genre. Otherwise, congrats on the BOTD.

Thank you for the amazing detailed review. You have captured the book’s essence and helped us to see why we should read it. I tried to read some of the first few pages and could see where it was heading, so I stopped and came here. I’m not one for crime drama with bad or violent scenes, so I won’t be finishing this book. But thank you for a great job well done!!

First, this is my kind of book. I love that the author has written about a sensitive topic. I commend the author for not only creating awareness of the injustice different races face in America but also provides solutions for this. This was a great review.

The book sounds interesting and the title is a depiction of what the book holds. I love the approach of the author in telling both sides of the story. I'd love to know what led to the imprisonment of Troy and how his life is connected to Myles. I love that the author acknowledges that unless a good cop keeps in check the bad cop, then there are no good cops. Great review.

I could see the relevance of this novel from the stance of Black Lives Matter. I feel crime detective novels are what I can read now. Great job.

It sounds like the author really had a different take on how the story should be written. Normally, stories such as these take one side or the other. It is nice to see real life being depicted in a fictional character.

A crime thriller set in a prison facility would certainly have the potential to strongly grip an audience. I would imagine that the incarcerated criminals undergoing institutionalized justice would have a lot to say. The police officer/civilian dynamic can be a tricky and complicated one, so it sounds like this author did an exceptional job!

The book is about an officer named Konrad, he has a dark past and some times has vivid dreams of it while he does his work he solves cases. The overall story gives you different points of view from the characters in the story. The characters in the story are developed but the story is somewhat rushed. I rate it 4/5

I really enjoyed your review. It's really engaging. Thank you. This Well-written crime thriller will have genre fans entertained. The author gives both sides of the story when it comes to good and bad cops and also criminals. This is a timely book that captures the reality of police work and criminal elements.
