Wow, A worthwhile read for those interested in learning about street life firsthand. One thing is made abundantly obvious in this book: society is accountable for the criminals it produces. I'd like to congratulate the author.

I strongly believe that one is influenced by their environment and the circumstances that they are presented with. Like the famous quote I used the cards I have been dealt.

What a story line! Poor Juan for his rough childhood, but it's a great story for character development.

Set in Colombia in the 1970s, today's BOTD is a psychological thriller that follows Juan from his lost childhood through his dark and disturbing adult years. In addition to being well-written and researched, readers will also appreciate that the book draws awareness to the realities many children today face while struggling to survive. I've added this to my WTR list. Thank you so much! :-)

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller/crime novel about a young man, Juan, who grew up surrounded by crime, violence, and abuse among other negative influences and developed a personal opinion that he is a bad man and therefore must act as such. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

In The Making of Evil by C. Ross Dutton, the character of Juan seems to have picked up from real life as he reveals the aspects absorbed from his surroundings.

Juan is a character who has experienced negative things, and it has corrupted his mind. I love the author's perspective, and I'd love to know how the story end for him. How does his character and attitude affect his siblings? Thanks for your honest review.

Thanks for this well-written review! I can only imagine the struggles Juan passed through as a child for him to have concluded that he was evil. Congratulations on being the Book of The Day.

The cover & title of this book initially caught my eye so I was interested in reading. I understand Juan and definitely feel for him throughout the book - it sucks that he grew up in a toxic household and forced fend for himself and care for his sister by himself since his mother was emotionally and mentally unavailable. I personally didn’t like the way the book was written and often found myself bored and skimming pages. 2.5/5 rating.

It is a fascinating novel, and it makes me curious to know if young Juan managed to escape his harsh reality of being a victim of related circumstances as a child. He was looking for guidance, the answers to his confusion. Was the Sister capable of helping him? Congratulations to the author.
Thank you for the awesome review.
