I always love and enjoy a good mystery mixed with crime I do hope Maria was able to clear her son's name. I will definitely give the book a read. Thanks for the review.

This intriguing mystery thriller follows Maria, a Chief Financial Officer who was let go after arguing and fighting for a promotion with the guy who would later become the current CEO. Maria learns a few weeks later that there may be a problem with the employee's payroll and that her son may be implicated. Will she find out what is actually going on? Perhaps it's worth a second look.

Chief Among Us by L. A. Noble seems to be quite a mystery! After reading your review, I can tell that many characters play a strong role in both the narrative and the narrative's mystery. vital

"Chief Among Us" by L.A. Noble is a mystery that follows Maria, CFO at Central Illinois Insurance Company. Maria arrives at work on a Monday morning and is confronted by Jeffrey Clinton, VP of Operations about a derogatory picture of her sent to him by another employee. The picture shows Maria topless. Maria was competing with Jeffrey for the CEO position; he got it and then fired Maria. The free sample was a quick read and definitely motivated me to add this book to my To-Read Shelf. I cannot imagine the embarrassment Maria suffered when the photo was passed around the office. There is a much bigger mystery to solve than the photo of Maria, Tom the employee that sent Jeffrey the photo and Maria's son Nate is a suspect in an employee's payroll problem. Very good review.

The intrigue and mystery of this book catches the interest of the reader almost from page one. The author does a really nice job describing characters and their surroundings and the way they think as well as their skills. Very interesting mystery and I would love to read this entire series. Thank you

Seems like this tale is filled with plot twist.... But wait??!! How did Max, Maria's son get involved with the fight concerning employees' payroll at Maria's former workplace? Was it a trap to get Maria into more trouble than is apparently experiencing, or Max was just an 'evil' son that Maria never knew? I should like to know that. I will read the book.

This novel has an interesting plot, from the title of the novel I thought it was a book about food, I had no idea it is also a novel with crime genres. Congrats on BOTD!

I would agree with the reviewer that the book is full of mysteries to be unlocked. I would want to if Maria's son was an employee of the insurance company for him to be found a suspect.

Chief among us is an enthralling tale that depicts a crime mystery in the world of business. I'm curious to know how Maria will clear her son, Nate's name. This seems like an engrossing tale. Congrats on the BOTD. Great review.
