Most things that are unique are compelling. However, this one may be a tad extreme for me, although I'm going to place it on my "to read" bookshelf anyway. It was a unique piece from start to finish.
Another thing that makes me hesitant about reading this book is because of your mentioning that the author leaves too much open-ended, or without closure. I can understand leaving the ending of the story open-ended, if for no other reason, to be able to have an ongoing type of sequel. For instance Jurrasic Park did that. But when an author doesn't give closure to almost, if not all the subplots or supporting characters, it's very distracting and kind of annoying, too.
Thanks for a great review!
You're right!”

to know when I read the book is to understand how lily overcame that much catastrophe and the way she tolerated it. that will help us all to act rational and not fall in depression.
