really enjoyed the review. She summarized the key plot points without spoilers, which I appreciate. This is a book I would enjoy reading, being in my favorite genre. The description of the beginning of the book listing all the characters, and the summary of how Adam gets involved and learns that the policeman who was brutally murdered after making 5 phone calls looking for backup is part of the suspense. Why no response? What prompted the mayor to set a standard of standing down instead of policing? These questions and the seemingly unrelated problems with China make me want to read the book that much more. Great Review! Congratulations on BOTD!

Great presentation. Sadly I'm taking a break from suspense thrillers after having read too many. But will definitely recommend this book to people interested in the genre.

I, too, like short chapters, it makes it easy to read when on the run. The character list at the start will be helpful as it appears to be a heavily character-driven novel. No errors also make it very appealing. Thanks for the review, Melisa.

Slay the Dragon is also a crime thriller. Though it stretches on how people of high ranks in society oppress those of lower classes, Congratulations on BOTD!

An intense, suspense filled thriller that center on China's conspiracy to annihilate American democracy. The brutal murder of Dave, an African American policeman sets the story off. When his fellow cops start investigating, they face extreme danger. The details in this book are amazing! America destroying the country with the help of a secret Chinese organization is terrifyingly realistic. This was an exciting read, but it kind of filled me with trepidation. In my mind I'm thinking, I hope that this NEVER happens. Good review. :tiphat:

William McGinnis seems to be good at writing investigative action packed adventure thriller. Adam Weldon and his friends are endangered because they know more than what they ought to know. Will they save the US nation from impending danger? You have written the review without giving away too much!
