Thanks for the great review. I'm glad you enjoyed the book so much. From the sample I read, it did seem fast-paced and easy to follow. I will keep it in mind for when I might choose to read a book in this genre, but for now, I'm going to pass. I'm sure that those who like this genre will enjoy reading it though.

A modern American version of James Bond, although with an intention not to kill from the sounds of the excerpt. I think this is a book I would enjoy based on the action, but also contains some interesting points on society and politics.

With non-stop action and suspense this is definitely a book for me. The sample already got my interest and I just didn't want to stop reading. Can't wait to see if Nick and Carol can stop this attack on New York. I'm also curious about the Ghost Chip. Thanks for a great review.

Holy smokes! What an amazing ride this book sounds to be. I love fast paced thriller and it has all the ingredients that I love to read- chase, suspense, mystery, action, high powered gadgets and protaganist's quest to find it what not. The book is on top read priority. Congrats for Botd.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller about a CIA agent that was tasked with recovering a potentially dangerous microchip before being taken off the case for domestic terrorism. When rumors arise that the microchip made it to the US and might be in the hands of terrorists, it is up to CIA agent Nicholas and his partner to find out who has it before that person causes damage. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Sounds like a great crime-based novel embedded in detective work. Thanks for the review.

"The Handler" is a page-turning thriller that involves a Ghost Chip that could make cell phones untraceable and send a high frequency to set off explosives. Nicholas Reagan and his partner Carol Gellos follow rumors of the Ghost Chip technology and are on the trail of radical Jihadists that plan to harm hundreds of people in the U.S. Intelligence efforts indicate that the next round of violence will target the heart of America will Nick and Carol be able to respond in time. One needs to read the book to learn the fate of these two heroes who are not afraid of putting themselves in danger to get the job done. The book reads like there may be future books in this series and the unanswered questions will carry over to the next book. I wish we had more than the official review to read but to pay full ebook price seemed too steep for an author unknown to me. Very good review.

Readers who enjoy fast-paced action and espionage will enjoy this novel. There was non-borderline swearing infrequently throughout the novel and little to no sexual content. If you preferer character-driven novels, this book may not be a good fit. The author focused more on the plot than character development
This doesn't sound like a book for me. I'm more into character-driven novels. Overall, great review! I enjoyed reading it.

The overall concept could be interesting, but I’m not really into international crime thrillers that make Muslims the villains. I get that the villains here are jihadist extremists, but I worry that with so many international crime thrillers like this, negative stereotypes could be perpetuated. Still, this book could be captivating for fans of the genre. Thank you for the helpful review.
