It appears Sheriff Hardin Steel has a lot to do and pursuing such a drug lord definitely means the endeavor will be costly and some may pay the ultimate price. I look forward to following the law enforcement officers as they battle this menace and hope to have a thrilling reading experience. It is great to read that the ending was a major twist and completely unexpected.
Many thanks for the review. :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:

As someone who also likes crime thriller, I like to predict where things are going. But if Reneau truly changes the game, so the reader has no idea how things are going to turn out, then I'll surely enjoy reading this book.

Sheriff Steel and is risking his life because of the Cuban Mafia in this crime mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time you’re reading. I found the sample slow too, but I’m glad to read it gets better as you go on reading, so thanks for sharing that in your review!

Sheriff Steel works at the Texas border and has busted countless drug peddlers. Things turn awry when he and his friend, Wes, rub their hands with a major drug lord. How will they get out of this mess? The first- and third-person narratives give the reader enough information to keep them hooked on the story. I enjoyed reading your review.

Sheriff Hardin Steel's best friend is in deep trouble, his girlfriend, Rory, is kidnapped, and the Cuban Mafia wants him dead. With an element of unpredictability, it should be exciting to see him take on the "bad guys." Thanks for the review!
