Very nice novel.
It talks about how an investigator went to a honeymoon with his newly wedded wife after being assured by a crazy travel agent who assured them that the island is a very safe and cheap destination for their honeymoon.
However,he was forced to investigate the murder of a young girl which is continually causing the death of other people with the help of a pair of magical glasses which allows him to see and to be guided by some spirits.
It's recommended for fiction lovers.
Thumbs up, Although it is a little bit scary and complicated.

The book seems to have an interesting plot. I'm a bit put off by the whole superpowers thing but I'll give the book a try. Who goes to a place called Island of the dead for their honeymoon though???

Det. Miller uses magic glasses with special powers to fight the bad guys-not sure this one is for me. Thanks anyway for the review.

That was a pretty good review. I won a free copy of Miller's View: La Isla de la Muerte from Amazon, so I am currently reading the novella. One thing that bothered me about your review was the spoilers in it because I haven't read any parts in the ongoing Miller novella series. Otherwise, your opinion and observations are accurate. Marlene Potts (author), doesn't use much descriptive writing in this novella at all. It is a fairly fast read and I did find myself having to read over certain paragraphs because there just wasn't enough detail or description to keep my mind focused. I love the overall premise of the story and looking forward to completing the novella. Thanks for the review! :D

Thanks for your review! It is strange that they chose La Isla de la Muerte for their honeymoon. It's a shame about the editing issues; the book does sound very exciting! I would like to learn more about these mystical glasses. I probably would have been a little lost reading this book as well since it's not the first book in the series. I'm curious to see if the detective's wife will assist him on his case or serve any purpose to the plot.

In the review it was stated as a good choice for young adults but I guess when I think of that age range I am thinking more Junior High onwards. I am not saying that it can't be but I believe more adults would find the author's work just as compelling and enjoyable.

Solving a serial murder case using some magic glasses? I'm definitely reading this. I'm all for anything involving magic and supernatural stuff!

This sounds like a good quick read for when you don’t want to commit to a long and complex storyline. The supernatural aspect adds some extra interest, but I think I’ll wait till I’ve read the earlier books before starting this one.

This sounds really interesting. It is refreshing to read a review about a good, supernatural mystery that's not overly graphic.

Thanks to your review, this definitely peaked my interest. I look forward to reading this one.

This book seemed interesting at first: an eerily-named Island and some vexing murders. However, as soon as I read about the supernatural gold glasses, this book lost me. While I don’t think this books is for me, it sounds like others might enjoy the supernatural flair.

This book sounds like something I would be interested it, and the supernatural elements might be what had me deciding to read it. Your review really helped me decide because I was on the fence about it. It’s a shame about the editing, though.

The thrills and intrigue are written clearly and the characterizations are engrossing. Miller’s View is a unique and intriguing mystery, when an everyday item has special abilities, and it leaves the reader excited to read more cases handled by Detective Miller. Love this story. Highly recommended to those who love a good ‘visionary’ and intriguing mystery, and the mystery is not just about how the case will be closed.

Personally, I would not want my honeymoon on an island called La Isle de la Muerte. No wonder there were strange things happenings and dead bodies began piling up. It's nice to know that the violence isn't too graphic and that this might be appropriate for the YA audience. I'm glad that your interest was held though it didn't include extraneous details. Too bad about the lack of description and the amount of errors. Glad you still enjoyed it, though! Thank you for sharing!
