This book sounds so interesting! An adventure that takes us back in time and on top of that has amusing characters. The reviewer did a great job. He made me want to read the book.

George Melville is the quintessential investigator transplanted into a time and place outside of his comfort zone. His experiences perfectly position the reader at the helm for his misadventures with an array of intriguing characters that make up this pre-World War II book. Based upon the book review, the relatability of the main character this is likely to draw in historians and fiction fans alike. Thank you for your thoughts.

In the book the story is about the book's main character getting back a stolen mask. However, the main character encounters several obstacles to regain possession of the stolen mask

I think it is remarkable that an author can deliver such a fast paced and fun piece work in a short book with out jeopardizing quality. I love the time period this book is set in and I look forward in reading this book and more to come in this series. Thank you for your review!

I got excited about this book because I love adventure books especially those in a series. The book title reminds me of the mystery book that I read as my first review. I also thought of the Indian Jones movie series and the similarities between the characters most notably their sense of humor. I also like that the author took the time to develop the time period and scenery of the book to make it seamless.

This sounds like a great book, plus I love that it's fast-paced and you can read it in one sitting. I can't wait to see all the things George is scared witless over. Thank you for a wonderful review :)

The crazy scenarios in this book such as escaping from bullets in an Egyptian bazaar and unstable flight experiences, capture my interest. It is also a plus point that this is a short adventure book. Thank you for the review.

Judging from the review this sounds to be a good adventure story. Sounds like some of the western I use to watch with my grandparents as a kid. Or maybe that is more of what the cover picture puts me in the mind of.

I love a great adventure novel that not only brings us back into times past, but also intrigues us with interesting points of view. By taking George's aspect of an ordinary civilian in extraordinary situations, the reader is in for a real treat.

I am not a fan of adventure, but this sounds like a well written book. Congrats to the author on the 4/4 rating!

This sounds like a quick and entertaining read! I especially like the perspective that we get to read from, since we get to learn along with him. And the fact that he is a civilian makes it that much more relatable for readers.

I will have to keep this in mind for when I'm looking for a quick read. With just 86 pages, I am wondering if the author was able to flesh out the story enough, or if it felt rushed at all. It can be harder to write a short story than a full-length novel, for that very reason.
