I agree, really creepy cover! And it really depicts what is happening in the story very well. Thank you so much for stopping by, Samy Lax, and for commenting! :)

Rachel Lea wrote: 02 May 2019, 03:30 This sounds like a very interesting book. I have this strange sort of love/hate relationship with the horror genre, where I find it terrifying but can't make myself look away... I think that I would enjoy The Affected since, as you say, it is not continuously graphic. Also, I think that I might like it because of the author's emphasis on character development, instead of just placing cardboard characters into the book merely for the purpose of being knocked off. All in all, you've written a great review and it has definitely piqued my interest in McNally's The Affected. Thanks!
I couldn't survive on a steady diet of this genre, but it is certainly an unusual flavor that I may have to try more often. This one was just the right amount of horror and storytelling. Thank you so much for your kind words, Rachel Lea! I'm so glad you stopped by.

Ooh! I am one of those who likes more mystery than horror, but you make this one sound intriguing. Nice review!

Thanks for the detailed review. I was considering adding the book to my bookshelf for a later read but was a bit hesitant due to the genre. Your reviewing is compelling enough for me to give it a try. Great work.

It hasn't been my genre either until lately. I've just selected another book in that arena, so I'm not sure what that says about me.... :) Thank you, friend, for stopping by and commenting! I hope that you do try the book.
