Ah, it sucks when a book leaves questions unanswered. In some cases, it works but for a book like this, I think resolving Molly's issues somewhat would have been better.

Such a tantalizing beginning that wasn't exploited to its fullest. I appreciated your fair rating, in spite of the slow pace. It is still an intriguing story line. Thanks for the recommendation!

I agree. Her issues were major. To leave it hanging without any further mention of it left me hanging wanting to know if she overcame it or not! Thanks for commenting!

Yes, it is an intriguing storyline, and I enjoyed the book. It just isn't one that keeps you on the edge of your seat because things are happening so fast. It just kind of coasts along. Thanks for commenting!

Mark's story is a heartbreaking one. You mentioned the story is slow-paced. This makes the story sound boring. But I'm glad you enjoyed some parts in the story. Based on the cons about the book, I'm not sure if I will read the book. I enjoyed reading your review.

It’s nice to hear it had a relatable writing style and complex group of characters, but that extra editing polish would truly make all the difference. What a lofty tale of a carpenter looking to “build” himself a new future! Thanks for sharing your honest impressions.

I'm not into crime thrillers, but a 'slow pace' is the last thing I would expect to find in one! I hope things get better for Mark, and the mystery gets solved. Thanks for the review!

Thank you! It wasn't boring, it just wasn't that 'on the edge of your seat' type crime thriller, you know? Thanks for commenting!

Thank you, and thanks for commenting! It is hard to build a new life when you still live in the same town as your ex! I love how you put that about him being a carpenter and looking to "build" himself a new future! I had not thought of it like that!

Thank you, and thanks for commenting! Slow was the last thing I expected too when I started reading the book. It is a good story just needed a little more action!

Thank you for commenting! I enjoyed the book because it had such a good storyline, but I wish it had more action and suspense to it.
