A book whose character development is excellent would be a plus for me.

I can go over graphic scenes if the book keeps me on the edge of my seat. I am definitely going to give it a try since it is a post-apocalyptic thriller; something I actually like to read! Thanks for the review!

It left to be desired whether the despair and isolation Danny suffered during a life threatening pandemic in the story can be compared to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that is plaguing the world at this time. Nice review.

A zombie book this is. It sounds thrilling to know that the protagonist will embark on a family saving journey, with a tensioned mind for as long as this havoc lasts. Nice work

This sounds like the type of book that takes your breath away. I am glad that the character development was tended to properly too - since often thrilling plots take place at the expense of characters. Great review!

The idea of a pandemic resulting in zombies and swarms of infected people actually sounds chaotic. It's interesting to see how the author incorporated the theme of alcoholism into the story. I enjoyed your enthusiasm for this genre. Great review!

I agree; action and well-developed characters can be hard to come by. This boasts both!
