I like that this story contains the element of historical preservation because we shouldn't forget the past and how we got to where we are. Apart from the sexual situations, this sounds like a great story about kindly countryfolk vs greedy developers.

Thank you for a fabulous review.

I grew up on a farm, and I have no desire to move back. However, I do understand the desire to get away from everything sometimes. I think you got the gist of the book right! Thanks for stopping by!

I love books with strong female characters and there seems to na a lot more to the novel besides the romance.
All packed in less than 200 pages.

Thank you for an amazing review!
I was surprised how well it read in such a short book. I appreciate strong female characters as well. Give it a try; I don't think you will be disappointed!

Raising awareness on issues like land conversion and heritage conservation is notable. Likewise, I hope the editing errors get fixed. Thanks for the insights.

Thank you for your excellent review. Reading the Amazon review I thought this book was about a nurse who punches a Doctor. But the cover tells a different tale. I continue reading and itโ€™s about the land preservation during the Civil War. Looking forward to reading this book.

History of the American Civil War as a theme is a big plus for me. I love the detailed review and the characters sound like fascinating.

Sam already sounds like a likeable person who is assertive and unafraid to stand for what she believes in. It's amazing how medical drama and history is intertwined in a single story.

The romantic part of this book is tolerable in comparison to other romantic novels which can be cringe-y because of heavy sexual content. How the author also presents Samantha as the main character is admirable because of her strong character and sincere love for the people she values. I also agree that there are minor errors in punctuation marks which can be corrected on its revision.
