Such a shame about all the errors in this book as it sounded really great. I especially like that the main character is a strong woman. Great honest review too!

Humor and paranormal seem like a very interesting association! Also, I find the name of the book funny and intriguing in the same time. Thank you for your honest review!

Thanks for your review! I was surprised when you brought up the paranormal and crime elements, as I was convinced, for a moment, that the book was just a romance with a slightly supernatural twist! It sounds like a great mash-up of genres, but I know I would not be able to get past the heavily romantic part. Like you, I would prefer a fair mix of the romance and other elements (though, to be honest, I could just do without the romance).

Kirsi_78 wrote: 02 May 2021, 10:42 The setup and the characters certainly sound interesting and entertaining. I think I’d love the mixture of romance, crime and paranormal activity combined with excellent characters! Unfortunately, bad editing destroys even a good story.

Thanks for a beautifully written review!

I'm not a big fan of romance either, but this one wasn't too bad, except for it being focused on too much in the first half.

Restorations, renovations, belligerent construction crews, and ghost slaves?! 👻 Sounds like a spooky tale indeed. 🏚
Hopefully the editorial issues will be corrected so that the lovely characterization aspect can take center stage, as it deserves. Thanks for your helpful review!

Thanks for your honest review. When I first read the title, I thought it would be a children's book featuring a Chihuahua dog. But from your review, it turns out to be a totally different book. And since it doesn't seem to suit my fancy, I guess I won't be too interested in this novel.
