This is an interesting suspenseful crime fiction novel highlighting amazing characters, organized crime, family, and mental illness. The book is temporarily discounted on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review. Congrats @KingDannyRange on the BOTD selection.

I love this book because it relates to many off the issues ppl faces on a daily basis. Mental health is a real struggle, that many persons we see today has to bare. The writer went ahead to break down and allow us to mentally transend into the life of the character who was suffering with such problems trying to be someonething else as he wasnt pleased with who is was on the inside crying for help, on the outside seeming to have it all together.Something many of us can truly relate to.

I never would've thought that a book about the mafia was also about mental illness. I guess people who are involved in crimes are often portrayed as "strong" and we never connect them with the immense suffering that a mental illness can entail. Amazing review! Thanks!

I hope Bruno is successful in leaving his past behind him. Depression and substance abuse affect many people and this book may highlight that they can be overcome. Thank you for your review.

The fact that he had suicide tendencies and how he wanted to change for the better is quite intriguing. Would like to know how it turn out for him, so I might give it a read. Great review.

Unfortunately, the tale seems too dark to attract my interest. To be honest, I was somewhat prejudiced against the book after first glance at the cover. It left negative impression and made me frown. Sadly, reading review didn't rectify it at all, but worsened the situation because I didn't liked premise. I will have to pass it, sorry and congrats on BOTD!

I think the book cover could have been better for this novel. I often enjoy first-person narrative, but this one did not hit the mark. I laughed when I read the part about Bruno feeling like he was disrespected by the interviewer. The character of Bruno did not come across well and I do not find him a relatable character in any way.

I don't typically read thrillers, but this one seems to have a really well-written main character. I feel like it would be shame to let it go.

A lot of people in general are not much aware of mental illness and depression. It seems this book covered both the topics well. Also there are explicit violence and crime scenes in the book. All of these are a bit sensitive to me so I’m not sure I can read this book. Thanks for a wonderful review though.

Bruno determination to create a better life for himself is quite remarkable, more interesting is how he will solve his relationship issues.

Like Bruno, many young people and heirs/heiress’ of big family businesses are faced with choices to make. Tow the family line or find your way, especially when you are connected to the “mafia” is a tough call. Will he pull through? How does he handle mental health issues and filial duty. Why would he get involved in a complicated relationship that could jeopardize his redemption? Such an engrossing tale. I recommend it to people who are affected in one way or another to mental illnesses, psychiatrists and scholars. Those in difficult situations that seem impossible to counter. Will Bruno come out if this stronger? A true thriller.
