Based on title alone I was thinking this book will belong in Children's Book category, but seems there was different idea for it. Still, reading the description left me wondering for which age group the book is appropriate, because story does sounds kinda immature and childish. Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad thing, I guess just not mine, so apologies and congrats on BOTD!

An extensive review for a teenage book filled with laughter, mystery, and fun. Nicknamed Pickles, the heroine is well depicted on the cover together with her pets. A normal story about normal times...

I loved your review! Great work!

Today's BOTD is a mystery that follows Pickles, the young town sleuth, as she sets out on a mission to clear her friend's name, after being accused of stealing a ruby earring. Fit for tweens and teens, readers will love the realistic dialogue and wholesome storyline as they work alongside Pickles and her hounds to find out whodunnit! Thanks again for the helpful review! :-)

I love the description of Pickles. She seems like an outgoing person who looks out for her friends. Children will definitely enjoy in sharing the adventures of Pickles. Great review.

I guess this is a modern version of the Nancy Drew mysteries that I enjoyed in my youth. The inclusion of lovable pets would be welcome, too, though dogs scare me in real life. I wonder where the ring ended up.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting mystery novel following a young detective as she searches for a missing earring that has resulted in one of friends being accused of being a thief. Will she find it before it is too late? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Thanks for your excellent review! The book sounds well-written and entertaining for children. I agree with you that the family and community described in the book are quaint and make for a cozy, safe setting, and it reminds me of some favorite books I read when I was a girl.

A girl and her best friend together with their dogs team up in a Sherlock Holmes attempt at solving the mystery of a missing Ruby earring. The story is a throwback to simpler times in the 80's and 90's when technology was just beginning to bud, and everyone knew each other in the neighborhood

It would be fun to join Pickels, Deardra, and Buster as they solve the mystery of the stolen earrings.

Thank you for the great review.

I appreciate Wright for writing this children book. It is fun, educative, and thrilling. I especially love the mystery adventures of Pickles. Hence, I am curious to know if the missing earring is later found. However, I hope the author addresses the negative concerns raised in this review.
