I was so excited about the book until your 4th paragraph! The premise looks great, but I believe in you when you say it's kind of dull, so I won't be reading it. I cannot cope with bad thrillers. Thank you for your review, I enjoyed it!

As much as I love murder mystery books, It just isn't the same without some measure of action. Thanks for the lovely review.

One negative aspect for me about this novel was the unbelievable reactions from the characters. The character's emotions were flat and unrealistic. Whenever Evelyn would receive shocking information, her response felt more like she was pretending rather than genuine sentiment. Because of this, the characters felt like poor actors.

This is really the worst feeling to have towards a book. I don't think this novel will suit me, but thank you for the great review!
