Malaysia is not a country I usually hear about in connection with terrorism. It would be interesting to see how the author ties this into the storyline. Thank you for your informative review.

This led to many unforeseen challenges, as this mission turns out to be more convoluted than expected, and Zain crosses paths with an old foe. The thrills, twists, and turns in this risky mission reveal a whole lot and the fears and bonds of the Pahlawan (Zain's team). The story gets more intriguing when there seems to be a spark of romance between two team members. It was amazing how the author weaved in this exciting part of the book.

Mission Sabah: The Manhunt by V. G. Kumar Das is a fiction mixed with both intellectual and cartographic properties, which explains in detail every aspect of the geographical features of Sabah. Also, the description of the mountainous regions, beaches, and tropical rain forests added to the analytical combats. This kept my attention on every event in the book. The unfolding of events and the suspense add more spice to the story. These were the positive aspects of the book.
I feel like we get enough terrorism from the real-life news. But a little romance always helps make such grim subjects lighter. And I love the descriptions of lush settings!

Sabah's territory seems diverse geologically and nature-wise. It's an exotic setting that makes an interesting place for a thriller and indeed I can see a lot of adventure happening there. All the action and suspense hinted in the review point to an engaging story. Thank you for your great review!

Set in East Malaysia’s Sabah state, today's BOTD is an intense, action-packed novel that follows an elite seven-member commando team, led by counter-terrorism agent "Zain," as they track down a foreign jihadist terrorist attempting to set-up sleeper cells. Filled with rich culture and history, this novel is a continuation of the author's earlier work, "Stalking Crime." I don't think it's the one for me, but I've downloaded my copy just to make sure. Thank you for your helpful review...keep up the great work! :-)

A thrilling and action-packed novel revealing the combat between terrorists and undercover security agents, also known as Pahlawan sounds very interesting. Their mission to protect the state of Sabah and their nation from intruders is honorable. Inspector Zain, committed to apprehending the insurgents carrying out the jihad alongside his team seems admirable.
