Latest Review: Murder in the Garbage by Jerry A Greenberg

I was quite disappointed in this book for many of the aspects you point out here. I found the obsession with the characters' height annoying and the overall portrayal of the few female characters disheartening. And all the male characters with God complexes were exhausting. I'm sure some readers will enjoy the CIA/FBI thrill, but I couldn't help rolling my eyes. :roll2:

This novel seems to have good potential but a less than brilliant execution, hence the limited satisfaction in reading it. Thank you for your honest review!

As someone who recently read and reviewed this book myself, I like this review but have to disagree on some points. Yes, I will give into the fact that this was an easy case to solve. What made this book stand out for me is the fact that there was no proverbial red tape that you normally find with government and law enforcement agencies. This was refreshing and different from the normal murder mysteries you get. I agree that there is a lot of room for improvement, but this is just the first book. I will take a look at the second one before giving my final judgement as the story is just beginning.

I love murder mysteries but this sounds like it is handed to the reader on a plate. I like tension and a chance to work out who did the dastardly deed. Not one I will be reading but thank you for a great review!

This is an interesting murder-mystery fiction thriller highlighting murder, espionage, investigation, a fast-paced plot, and a unique protagonist. The book is temporarily discounted on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

Hi! Congratulations on BOTD. Thank you for your honest review. The title interested me at first but the reviewer is quite critical of the book so I don't think I will read the whole book.

Sure a story like this, it's an interesting one, but from your review, I don't know if I should read it or not. I will like to buy the paperwork for this book. Congratulations to the author.

I have read some of Jerry's books in the past and like his writing style for the most part. I find it refreshing to read a C/M/T/H novel that does not contain a plethora of profanity. I like the character of Raoul and found the narrative humorous in parts. It will be interesting to see how Hank, the CIA agent, solves the mystery of military equipment and how it ties into the murder of the CEO of the Trash Removal Company.

This is the first book in the CIA agent Hank Boucher series. The story revolves around a mysterious death. I agree that the resolution of murder cases must involve a lot of struggle for readers to tense up and stay tuned. I find positive the respectful portrayal of a trash collector, but I dislike the stereotyping of Latinos and women.
