In your case, it must be a particular treat. I think you've mentioned that you can't get English library books in Japan. If you have to pay for every book you read, then "cheap and awesome" is a good combination. :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncycyan: :happy-bouncygreen: :happy-bouncymagenta: :happy-bouncymulticolor: :happy-bouncyred: :happy-bouncyredfire: :happy-bouncyshadowgreen:

Definitely. I've been sticking to the "free" ones as much as I can recently, though. 8)

Americans take for granted the ability to check any book out of the library for free.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my detailed review.....or should I say overly detailed review.
I realize my summary was long-winded. Although I LOVED the book, I found the summary difficult to write. The plot was so jam packed, which made it a great story!

You had me at $0.99...
But the story sounds like fun. I think I shall add it to my Kindle library for future use.
Thanks for a well thought out review!

Thanks! I love it when the first book in a series is available for a low price (at least, at the moment!). It's a great way to try out the book before spending more money on future books in the series.

The story has many layers, and some of the characters are connected in ways that may or may not relate to Linda’s disappearance.
This is especially interesting to me.

Too often I find in mysteries that each and every plotline and character has to be connected to the main mystery, which means that the story ends in a convoluted manner, or there simply isn't very much going on and you can guess what's happening before the end.

This book looks like a fun read. I love mysteries that are a bit wacky/zany, as you say, but ultimately say a lot about human nature. It looks like this is one of those.
