Great review. The title alone caught my attention then your review peaked my interest. Sounds like something I would really enjoy.

Good review. I love stories like these. It is always an interesting read when good plots against evil. Most of the time we read about evil scheming against good. How clever. Good job.

Nice review! I have to admit, obvious play on the surname aside, that “Stainless” is a pretty cool nickname.
My opinion of this book was all over the place as I read. In the beginning it seemed a bit slow and boring. As the plot thickened, I became more intrigued, but still wasn't impressed. About halfway through I can say I was honestly enjoying the book. By the end I was hooked!
Wow, I appreciate the honesty here. There are countless examples of storylines in media where it takes some time for things to really ramp up and truly paying off when it does. I’m always grateful when people are upfront about that.

The referring to an unpredictable ending makes me curious to read this book. It falls into my favourite category, I never get tired of stories where the 'good ones' chase the 'bad ones'. Insight behind the scenes is enriching the story.

Review explains it all about the book. And anyone can choose if they want to read this crime novel or not from the review itself.

A crime book revolving around a drug cartel sounds intriguing. Hopefully, those flaws you mentioned - slow start, formatting issues, and typographical errors - have been fixed by now. Mixing first and third-person POVs is enlightening when done right, as seems to be the case here. I like books with unpredictable twists and endings, but I am not a fan of Mafia books. I am glad you enjoyed the book. Good review!

South of Good seems like a compelling read, with ‘all-American’ dialogue and personable prose, many people will enjoy it. The review was revealing and useful. Sometimes books are diff to get ‘into’ until about a quarter of the way in.

Your review has intrigued me, Rachel! Like you, I am a fan of crime mysteries. Sampling, I enjoyed the opening episode where Steel reminisces about his Sheriff career and agrees to go out for lunch with his old friend Wes. I was yet to be hooked, but your mention of twists, crazy plans to get out of trouble, and Randall Reneau's award-winning repute make me feel like reading this crime story!
