Tommy's is a reflection of the views associated with most young people that university education in general, does not pay. This view has made some young people seek out means to earn money, some of the fast-paying means are associated with illegal activities. I love the theme of the book.

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed review of "Young Americans" by Peter S. Rush. It's clear that you put a lot of consideration into your assessment, and I appreciate your insights.

It's important to recognize how the book explores Tommy's journey, as it sheds light on the real-life consequences of the choices individuals make when faced with adversity.

I'm delighted to hear that you found the book exceptionally edited and that it flowed smoothly. The fact that you only noticed one typographical error speaks highly of the book's quality and the author's attention to detail.

Your praise for the character development is well-deserved, and it's heartening to know that you appreciated Tommy's growth throughout the story, even if you didn't necessarily agree with his life choices. The portrayal of the characters and their honest, albeit challenging, dealings in the drug trade is a testament to the author's skill in storytelling.

I also appreciate your candid comments about the use of profane terms in the book. It's important for potential readers to be aware of such content, and your mention of it allows them to make an informed decision about whether to read the book.

Your caution about the book's suitability for a mature audience, due to explicit content and violence, is also a valuable point for potential readers to consider.

Overall, your review highlights the book's strengths and provides valuable insights for anyone considering reading "Young Americans." It's evident that the story touched upon important themes, and I hope your review encourages others to explore the book while being aware of its content. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and recommendations.

I feel sad for his family not believing his complaints about being molested and I would like to know if he successfully succeeded after he dropped out of university.

I kind of expected your thoughts on the story before the ratings and typos. This seems like a great book that touches the life circumstances of many youths these days, quest for quick wealth can only lead one way. I’ll make sure to get my copy on Amazon. Nice review.

This sounds like an interesting read. We often scrutinize drug dealers at face value and fail to comprehend what led them to choose this path. I find it interesting and important to read about the perspectives from the other side. When we put ourselves in the shoes of others, we're able to help them in ways that are more effective, and as mentioned in the review, it also demonstrates the importance of abstaining from treading this path and the negative impact it can have on oneself and the community at large.

Thank you for your riveting review on, "Young Americans" by Peter S. Rush. Tommy's parents did not believe him when he told them he was being molested as a child. This made him leave everything behind and make a life for himself when he was attending university. Unfortunately he ended up selling drugs and joining a drug gang but in the end doing it his way. Looks like a very interesting read with the twist and turns Tommy goes through. I'm looking forward to continuing to read this book.

This review stands out as exceptional. It underscores the profound impact of parental responsibility in shaping a child's life by safeguarding them from physical and emotional harm. Tommy's tragic life serves as a poignant example of the consequences of parental neglect, which ultimately pushed him towards a path of substance abuse and a relentless pursuit of wealth through illicit means.

Young Americans by Peter Rush is a crime thriller with Tommy as the misguided young man who gets into dealing cocaine, which eventually leads him to get involved with dangerous people. I agree with you; the business Tommy chose would land him in a lot of trouble. Will he escape prison, and will he be able to save his girlfriend, Sandy? Congratulations on the BOTD!

Studying these sorts of personalities can teach us what to choose and what not to choose. I am happy this is being discussed because these discussions need to happen, especially with parents who have kids who are growing up. Congratulations to the author for being the BOTD and also all the best for future books.

This is a very informative review, Nqobile. I sampled this book but only the episode of Tommy finding himself detained by the Colombian authorities and placed in a tiny cell, and that he worried about Sandy. From this sample I could glean some perspective of what to expect from the book, and I agree with the review on all counts. I am yet to find any excessive profanity but I agree that it can be expected considering the stroryline.

The plot highlights the prevailing issues in society. I enjoy how Peter S. Rush's "Young Americans" emphasizes the various facets of drug abuse. I admire how, despite taking the incorrect road, the protagonist remains honest. It piques my interest to learn how things turn out for him. Thank you for your amazing review. I'd also like to thank the author for providing a complimentary copy. Congratulations on winning BOTD!

I took the liberty of reading a bit of the book. The author writes well, and I congratulate Mr. Rush on his achievement. But stories of physical abuse, particularly at a young age, and tales of drugs are not favorite topics of mine. So I'll take a pass on this one.

Great review. I appreciate how the book tackles some serious and relevant issues, such as the war on drugs, the corruption of power, and the impact of violence on people’s lives.

Tommy's story seems tragic, starting with the darkness he experienced since his childhood.book that provides an engaging and gritty look into the life of its protagonist, Tommy, and the harsh realities of the drug trade. The character development and the portrayal of the challenges Tommy faces add depth to the story.
Well summarised review.
