Your review is very interesting, Michael! I sampled the episode of Peter looking for and finding his son Danny's bike, and I agree that it is a perfect read for crime fiction fans. Like you, I liked how the author described the characters creating their picture in the readers' mind.

You mentioned that the connection that brings all the characters in the story together is thrilling and this one line was enough to draw my interest into this book. Good job on the review. I like how wonderfully you've described the events that take place in the story by including the characters.
Congratulations on BOTD to the author!

Harper kind of reminds me of the town i grew up in. Not to that extreme, however, but everyone knew your business. Poor Pete! I wonder what everyone has in common. Congratulations on BOTD!

I like the concept of multiple stories and characters connected in a thrilling way. The author's descriptions and ability to keep readers drawn to the characters seem appealing. There seems to be an intention to educate young people on the issue of social vices, especially abnormal drug use.

I read the first chapter of this book. The author's style of writing captured my attention. This review highlights the reasons one should read this book: The story of a small town where someone has gone missing, the descriptive writing style of the author, the topics of schizophrenia and drug use, and the short chapters that keep the story moving along. The 5 out of 5 stars rating is icing on the cake. I am adding this book to my bookshelves. :techie-studyinggray:

A delightful and engaging review. Thank you.
The plot and characters sound vivid and realistic for a small town where strange things take place.
You mention that these characters' communication is imperfect and it makes wonderful sense in terms of the mentioned plot setting.
In reality, not all people speak in the highest form of their mother tongue. I like this detail. I wonder what became of Peter Dewberry. Congratulations to the author!

Nice review!
He creates pictures in your mind as you read, which prevents any abstractness while reading. I love how he described characters and how he linked them all up eventually. Ultimately, I loved the length of the individual chapters. Depending on the matter being discussed, some chapters were average, while the rest were very short, which aided the reading process.
These are the kind of things I like to hear when it comes to a book like this. In a story that will likely be super detail-oriented and make you remember/recall a number of things, anything that can make that easier is a must-have (to me, at least). When there’s complications and challenges at almost every turn, most would likely want as smooth of a flow as possible while reading.

I haven't read "Harper's Bizarre" by Mike Thorne, but your review has me curious about it! Sounds like an intriguing book with vivid descriptions, well-connected characters, and an engaging storyline. I appreciate your insights on how the profanity added to the book's authenticity.

The review is well written provides sufficient insights into the characters of the book while keeping the curiosity on. Murder in Harper - a small town though may sound an easy case to solve but how the mystery evolves with bizarre events and rumors is the crux of the book. Mike Thorne is able to create pictures as we read the book.

The tittle of the book already already gives you the hint that you will find bizarre things in it. I would love to read about how does Peter get to disappear and does he get to be found. The book sounds thrilling and interesting.

The author writes about a small town were mysterious things happen, I would love to read more about Brad and get to know his reasons for attempting to poison himself and his whole family and what are the consequences that he gets to face. Great review.

From reading the title, I did not expect this review. But the stories that the review speaks of sound intriguing. The reviewer also speaks of the way this book paints pictures in you minds eye that makes this book seem like it'll be hard to put it down once you start.
