It's unusual for me to encounter books with that genre. It's not my cup of tea but thank you for making it free.

Very nice review! I appreciate you letting us know we should read the first one first. I like psychological thrillers,so this series would be a must read for me.

I certainly didn't expect the sex scene at the prologue after a cover like that lol
I was interested in the book but you said it's tricky to read as a standalone.

For me, erotica is usually and hit or miss. I'm curious how it will be this time. Great review.

When I realized it was the second part of a story, I was hesitant to read it. After reading you're review, I am glad I did as you confirm my hesitation as reading it as a stand-alone. So I will definitely be checking out Behind the Door first. :)

Well after finding out that there is a book before this that has to be read, I won't be reading this just yet. Also, Horror? Apprehension again, I need to mentally and physically prepare myself for this before I venture.

Great job, and I'am not alone to have the same advice. But I think that it would be more appropriate to avoid refering every time to the previous book "Behind the door" that many of us didn't read. The review should contain informations which enlighten the relation between the two books. This would make your review more attracting, more informative, more unclouded, in one word greater than it is up to now.
Yet, thank you for a such appreciable work! Hope that the next will be better,... :)

Sounds interesting though I can't relate to Lara's Journal until I read behind the door. It certainly brings a new twist with the pschologist dealing with issues of her own while working on a case. Glad you enjoyed the book. You did a great job on the review.

A romance thriller with psychological undertones? This book is right up my alley! Hope to read both Behind the Door and Lara's Journal soon. Great job on the review!
