Nice review!
The book’s ability to maintain suspense while developing complex characters is commendable. For instance, the three women seeking revenge—Beatrice Hastings, Anne More, and Evelyn Maxwell—are not portrayed as mere antagonists. Each has a distinct personality and backstory, particularly Beatrice, whose actions stem from a domineering and manipulative nature.
Interest was already peaked by this women-led plot line, so it’s a relief to hear that they were written very humanly (as they obviously should!). I think it's important to note this since there are just one too many examples of character archetypes (female or not) that are written very one-dimensionally when/where they shouldn’t be.

Love and retaliation are two equally potent motivations that have the capacity to drive someone to take heroic or illegal actions.  This appears to be illustrated in the third book of the series, which tells the story of an unresolved matter that will be resolved.

Romance thrillers are one of my favorite genres, and I am curious how a banshee is involved in this story. Thank you for your review.

"Howl of the Banshee" by Dave McKeon is a fusion of romance and thriller. I can imagine how Lou felt when he received the news of Kate's kidnap. I want to know if Kate was able to attend her nuptials. Congrats on BOTD. Thanks for this comprehensive review.

A blend of mystery, suspense and romance, "Howl of the Banshee" by Dave McKeon tell the story of Lou Gault and Kate O’Grady, two secret agents from different countries who met and fell in love. Their wedding plans turn awry when one of Kate's past successful missions comes back to haunt her. Three disgruntled wives of three imprisoned English smugglers kidnapped Kate, demanding ransom from the would-be husband, Lou. What followed was a race against time to free Kate from their grasp and still meet up with the wedding plans.
