This sounds like it could have been a captivating book, but I like books that have suspense in them. Thank you for a wonderful review!

Thanks for the review. It is really nice. While the book lacks suspense, I think the author did a good job in organizing the two stories to such an extent that there is no confusion. I would like to read this and especially the questions raised about God.

A criminal defense attorney that has psychic abilities? Sounds like a unique combination. Wonder if Sam and the serial killer have more of a connection than he first thought. Glad that you enjoyed the second story as it had more adventure and mystery, but too bad the first story wasn't as exciting. The tie-in with God seems like it would appeal to some. It's also too bad that there weren't enough clues to figure out who the Ripper was. Developing the plot is important, but I also like when characters are developed as well. I'm sorry this wasn't the case here with all the characters, but I'm glad Sam's character was relatable. Only two minor errors? That's awesome! Glad that you were able to enjoy this book. Thank you for sharing!

As a legal thriller, it seems like an original work of the author. It brings out the perils of a priest who learns about a murderer but is unable to report him because of the seal of confession. The review is very clear.

Your review is beautifully written and has whetted my curiosity to see what the characters end up doing in the end. I'm also curious to see what the ending was, that so disappointed you.

The idea of having 2 stories in one sounds interesting, but a bit confusing.

Based on the review I would not enjoy reading this book. I am not a fan of crime/mystery novels. I don't have any interest in legal thrillers. I will pass on reading this book.

I am a fan of the genre, and, by reading the review, I liked it more than ever. A crime investigation is more than galvanizing.

This sounds like the sort of story I would enjoy. However, your comments about the ending make me a bit reticent. There’s nothing worse than reading the book in anticipation of a suitable climax, and then being disappointed by the conclusion. Still, I might be tempted to try this book. Many thanks for your comments.
