Crime/Mystery and light-heartedness? That should be fun. Interesting. How do the two mix?

I like serious crime novels but from what I’ve read in this review I’d want to see how it would be without the seriousness.

A light hearted murder-mystery novel full of humorous undertones and comical puns and innuendos seems like just the book I would very much enjoy. The lack of character depth that you turned positive screams the degree of this review, excellent by worldly standards. Thanks for selling me on the book.

Dave Jerome's Uncle Walt was poisoned by arsenic and died, then another elderly man died from arsenic poisoning. This matches the title of the book. Dave and his two friends, Mitch and Al, all work together to solve the murder mystery. It sounds like a well-written mystery novel. I enjoyed reading your review.

sonya01 writes a perfect review of Arsenic and Old Men by Glenn Ickler, an almost perfect book itself, but for the minor formatting and other flaws.
The review gives enough of the content and plot without spoiling the suspense for the reader.
It also gives sound arguments that support her opinion of the book, good points and minor flaws.
I wish I had written that review myself and wonder what mine will be like, assuming that I get the copy for reviewing.

This crime/mystery novel sounds very enjoyable. I'm pleased that it is brimming with humorous puns, and the narrative flows well. However I'm not a fan of this genre. Thanks for your review.

This is a very captivating crime and thriller genre, it starts out ordinary and then picks up pace which definitely keeps the reader glued all the way. What is more interesting is the occasional humor. Congrats to the book of the day.

I love books that can mix the serious subject matter with light jokes and fun banter. The fact that this one is a light-hearted crime/mystery novel and is brimming with humorous puns and witty innuendo is right up my alley.

It sounds like a book that doesn't take itself too seriously which is something that I like. Great job on the review.

A well-written, light-hearted story filled with mystery and humor! It is a pity about the formatting issues, but I am glad you enjoyed it anyway! I am not sure it is for me, though; normally, I love to read murder mysteries filled with many unexpected twists and turns. However, I will add this book to my TBR list for now. Thank you for the detailed review!

I like novels which have mystery in them. Too bad that the book had formatting mistakes, it would have been a good novel to read
