Thanks for the excellent review! This novel sounds like a suspense thriller that includes well-developed characters and an intriguing storyline. The title appears very catchy though sex is not the much-talked thing in the book. Congrats to the author on BOTD!

Official Review: The Adults in the Room by Jeffrey D. Mechling well explains the contents of the book. It brings out the positive point of good suspense of the story. The way the reviewer compares the book to other great works of art is appreciable! The rating given to the book is accurate!

In "The Adults in the Room," Jeffrey D. Mechling perfectly combines a number of genres, including medical thriller and suspense. The book follows the story of an ex-CIA agent who suffers from retrograde amnesia.

Thanks for your review! I'm curious to learn about Tim's past and how it gets uncovered in the Dominican Republic. I always find stories about amnesia to be interesting. It's a shame that Mary-Ann came off so stereotypical; I still want to learn about her involvement in Tim's past.

Aw shame on Tim. It is terrible to have amnesia. I hope he recovers and quickly before he messes around his life.

I like the suspenseful plot and the fleshed-out characters of the protagonist, Tim, the most. Nice review.

It's crazy how certain events can keep us from moving forward in life. I've heard about people who suffered from amnesia with all manner of outcomes. I love the way the author captured the predicament of the last character. It elicits empathy, especially from people who identify with this predicament.

I like the idea of a thriller focusing on the story of a former CIA agent who suffers from retrograde amnesia. However, I'm put off by the use of offensive language, the weak character development, and the presence of gratuitous erotic scenes. Thanks for an honest review!

I’m glad you found the plot of this book so full of surprises, but it is a pity that Mary Ann was more like a man’s fantasy than an actual human being. I’m going to pass on this book anyhow, because espionage thrillers aren’t my bag and the writing style doesn’t appeal to my senses.

Seamless blending of so many genres intrigues me and makes me want to read this book. But the female protagonist doesn't seem to be appealing. So, I have to read the sample before I decide whether I'm going to read this book.

This looks interesting. I love thrillers with a bit of romance. Too bad about the main female character. The sample looked okay so I will add it to my to-read list.
