This sounds like an interesting book but I recently lost my grip on fiction. I might give this book a try because of the storyline though.
Many books can inform you but there's only one that can transform you(The Holy Bible). Pls don't forget to drop a comment for this review. Thanks. :D :tiphat:

Congratulations to the author for BOTD. Since this book is the third and final installment in a series, I think it will be best for the reader to peruse the first two novels or at least have a grip of the major and important events of the first two stories in order to really understand the third book. I am fascinated by the Bible teachings incorporated in this story.

When I hear a book about mafia, I'm thinking guns, power, money, romance and authority but this is a unique, different and fresh perspective. It's good to see and know that the author incorporated Bible teachings in all of these. Well done

I don't often enjoy reading books that involve the cartel or mafia because, most of the time, there's unnecessary killing. For a novel that values family connection, this is not my cup of tea. Besides, I prefer reading the first book in a series first. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I have no idea how the author has made this book devoid of profanity. I guess it's more about the Edward's family, which probably is God fearing. This crime-drama sounds interesting from the review.

I inferred the intriguing qualities of this book from the review. I'm easily shocked by well-executed betrayals and frantic survival strategies. I cherish strong family loyalty, so I'm grateful that this quality was exhibited in the novel, especially among Jacob's parents. It's helpful to know that this book can be read independently, even if it's in a series. Congrats on botd!

Thank you for your great review. I do like this author's writing. I am curious to know why they are after the Edwards' and how they escape. I believe I will add this to my list of books to read.

The Last Enemy is the third book in the series and the story is about Maximillian Manerez and Boris Rasmov, two mafia bosses that want to wipe out the Edwards family. What complicates matters is the main man in the Edwards family Jacob befriends Maximillians son Jonathan. This book revolves around the Edwards family. The attempts by Jacob to keep the Edwards family safe brings others into the action including the FBI, the Texas Rangers and the Mexican military anti-corruption cartel task force. While this is the third book in the series one can read this book and gain a firm grasp on the total picture without reading the first two books. I like books that can stand alone but this series is probably one that should be read starting with book one. The official review is very good and I plan to add all three books to my to-read bookshelf.

This story is one of a kind, I got really panicked for the Edwards but also admires their braveness. Curious about the Edwards safety, hoping Jacob's friend can consider their friendship to avoid the murdering. Good review.

I enjoyed the outline of the story. Jacob has to defend his family from the mafia bosses. I would surely add this to my reading list. I want to know how the rest of the story unfolds. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

I'm not a big fan of crime dramas, particularly those with mafia references, but this sounds like an excellent addition to the libraries of those who are. Your review is great! Enough information to get a person interested but no spoilers. Thank you!

This sounds super interesting especially as it involves cartel bosses and Jacob's fight to survival. Another thing that draws my attention is the author's use of family bonds, love and faith in the plot which gives it an extra plus for me. Thanks for a wonderful review.

I loved Hendrick’s book Brandy: Ballad of a Pirate Princess, so I might like this book as well. I’m not a big fan of mafia-related action books or reading a series out of order, but if I start with the first book, I would probably enjoy the series. Thank you for the helpful review.
