It's nice to have a mystery-thriller with a little humor thrown in. Thanks for your thorough and entertaining review!

I love books where authors run a thread of humor throughout to lighten an otherwise heavy narrative. I loved Winston in the sample. He stole the show! I'm not much on mysteries, so I'll probably pass on this one, but I'm sure those who enjoy the genre will find it entertaining. Thanks for the review. I really enjoy your writing style!

This sounds like an excellent mystery/thriller. I also love that it has a healthy dose of comedy as well! Congrats on the book of the day. Great review.

I was lost in your review about the journalist trying to get information on a British based company. It definitely has a mystery and thriller vibe attached.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting mystery-thriller novel following a journalist that has been put on the trail of a story about a large company that has purchased a rehabilitation center. The mysteries surrounding the center will bring about connections that were thought to have ended. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

It doesn't appear that the advertised download link on Bookshelves is present; typically, you do not need to accept the book for review in order to read a BOTD book from Bookshelves. This was disappointing.

After reading your review, I sampled the book. I really enjoyed the humor both in the dialogue and the narrative.

Editing to add, in case anyone was confused like me: Per the Facebook post for this book, you can download the free copy from Kobo :)

There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

I’m not really interested in mystery books, but I do like the comedic elements the author added. I’ll check it out.

Sound good. But I'm not into mystery thrillers. So I'll pass this one. But I like the author's title for the book.

I like this witty book though classified as a mystery thriller. I hope Philip gets to the bottom of what is happening at the up-market Westleigh Hall. Nice review.

I would love to see how this mystery thriller novel plays out. This official review goes into some good details and points that I would love to explore. I've never had much experience with English comedy, so I would have to see if it's for me. I will add this to my reading list. Thank you for the insightful review.
