A Brush with Death by Jody Summers thank you for this wonderful review by Daphne Asir, I enjoyed reading it till the end. We saw how Kira live after the death of her mother and how she have created a beautiful paint at New Orleans, with her mother ashes and named it 'Canvas of Life’ which have turned out to be a successful career in her new business. Congratulations on your BOTD

A Brush with Death by Jody Summers is a thriller novel with a unique plot about Kira, a painter with special skills. After her mother's death, Kira discovers a new art of painting with a cremated person's ashes mixed in with paint. She experiences unusual moments and relives the dead person's happy moments until one day, an evil force takes over and wants to use her as a portal to kill people. Sounds like a very intriguing plot. Congratulations on the BOTD!

“A Brush with Death” by Jody Summers is the 1st book in the “Art of the Dead” series. The book is a horror mystery thriller that begins in New Orleans with a painter named Kira whose mom recently passed away. Kira decided to mix her mom’s ashes with paint and she created a beautiful painting. This opened a new career opportunity for her that she calls “Canvas of Life”. This art form causes her to enter an altered state and she begins reliving moments from the life of the deceased. Her paintings help her clients find closure with the loss of their loved one until she meets a man named Sean whose father’s ashes that causes her to experience terrible nightmares that lead her to believe she was painting a portrait of a serial killer. She also senses there is an evil in her painting that actually threatens her life. The book is well-written and the official reviewer recommends the book to fans of Stephen King and Jeffery Deaver but only gave the book a 3 out of 4-star rating.

"A Brush with Death" by Jody Summers is a novel that will give the reader goosebumps as Kira mixes paint with the ashes of the dead in order to paint their portraits. "Absently, she lifted her hand to catch the snowflakes and looked more closely to see the different shapes. Her eyes widened. They weren’t snowflakes. They were ashes!" A Must read. Congrats on BOTD!!

Your review excellently highlighted how the title is pertinent to the book's content. Both the title and cover are captivating. Despite a few punctuation mistakes, the book doesn't lose its merit as an enjoyable read.

This feels like a scary book. I can't imagine the use of a person's ash to bring paintings to live. This won't be the book for me but thanks for the detailed review!

While I found the relationship between Kira and Sean to be a bit rushed, the mystery and suspense overshadowed this minor flaw. Overall, a gripping and chilling read that I highly recommend for fans of horror and mystery. Be prepared for a thrilling ride

The concept of painting with the ashes of the dead to preserve their presence doesn't quite resonate with me. However, I'm sure art enthusiasts will find it fascinating. I appreciate the plot and how the main character manages to bring the lives of those he paints back to life, with their ashes creating a significant connection to the artwork. This story combines thriller, horror, and mystery into one piece. While I enjoy a good plot, I'm not sure I'll be picking up this book anytime soon. Nevertheless, I commend the author for crafting such a unique story. The thought process behind this book must be incredibly intriguing, as it deviates from the usual narrative. Thank you for the insightful review I find it helpful. Congratulations to the author on BOTD.
