I don’t usually read crime and suspense, and romance very rarely, but your review has made this book sound like something I would want to read, mainly because I want to know how the little kid and her love of martial arts influences the story. I also like the fact the tale is told using multiple POVs, and the nickname Bogie is just brilliant.

Based on the review, this sounds like an engaging read. The storyline is narrated from different POVs, so that is something I'm looking forward to. Suspense and crime fiction fans would like the book. Thank you for the detailed review.

Multiple perspectives can make murder mysteries and suspense/crime narratives even more compelling, especially if the author takes good advantage of the layers that they could create. Of course, the suspense and danger level are always knocked up a notch when a child is involved, so Bailey and her daughter are a big attraction for me. I'll just need to add this to my list until I have the time for it. Thank you for the helpful review.
