Imagine not reading this book would be a great opportunity missed this book sounds so great to read as I love suspense and being that he was a former cop and left it behind to pick it back up ten years later and have the skills needed to make any bad man talk but that also put him and his family at risk I can’t wait to read to see what the ending brought of this book

Deaths companion will be enjoyed more by those readers that love romantic novels which are more action oriented with a little bit of humour to ease up the mood from all the fast paced events in the book.

Crime novels are a must-read for me; the action, thrills, and suspense make them incredibly captivating. Normally, diving into this book would be effortless for me. However, the author adds even more depth. From this review, this novel is comparable to a blockbuster movie, with humor that makes it even more enjoyable. The story revolves around the life of a retired assassin, and I am eager to read about Nick's experiences both in and out of government service. I particularly like the relationship between Nick and Reggie; the trust they share is something that can only be earned. This book looks very promising. Thank you for the insightful review. Congratulations to the author on BOTD.

Nick is an ex-CID official and an ex-assassin for the US government. Reggie from CID asks for Nick’s help in solving a human trafficking case. With suspects as high as politicians, how will they find the real culprit and bring them to justice? C/T/M/h genre lovers will enjoy this book.

superb review. This seems like my kind of novel. I am a huge fan of such thrillers. Just reading the sample, I agree with you about coop.I need to read more to get to know Nick, however. The story is quickly set within a few chapters, which I really liked. The author doesn't seem to drag anything along, which is a pleasure. I will definitely check this out now. Thanks for the review.

In "Death's Companion," Nick Parker faces the challenge of uncovering the truth about "The Disciples" gang and their connections to high-level officials, all while rebuilding his life away from law enforcement.

Death's Companion by James Meenagh is a book that I just wrapped up! It’s an engrossing crime thriller that had me hanging on the edge of my seat throughout. Just that Nick Parker and his faithful dog Coop are very dynamic characters who make this story unforgettable. If you like good stories filled with action and sprinkled with a little bit of humor or some sad bits then this one is for you.

According to the review, the story sounds quite interesting and realistic enough to consider it a documentary. I can't count how many times human trafficking, especially involving females, was reported in the news, so I would really like to see one ending in somewhat alike to happy end. I am not all that concerned about what a trained assassin would do with a guilty party, since some crimes are unforgivable. Thanks for the book and congrats on BOTD!

Based on the info provided here, this is the kind of crime novel that keeps the reader in suspense to the end - a page turner with a dark humour vibe. It has all the elements of a great novel. Although it's the second book about Nick Parker the author has written it works as a stand-alone. This is important to know for those who havent read the 1st book of the series. Thank you for highlighting this and the pros of the book.

I can imagine Nick's strength and fighting skills for him to be called "legend" and for Reggie to believe in him means he’s good at what he does. Nice review.
