"The Prison of Power" by G Michael Smith introduces the reader to a ‘post-apocalypse’ world where males are distanced and women rule. There are factions of every political kind that long for the world to be different and for men to at least be valued and at best be placed, once again, in the primary ruling role. How will this turn out?
With well-defined characters and an intricate backstory the action takes place in 2051. You might just take a look at what could well be the future.
If you're going through hell, keep going.

This section dissects the political realism within the novel, delving into the meticulous research that underpins the narrative and the delicate balance between fiction and reality.

I am an ardent reader of futuristic sci-fi books packed with lots of action. Though the book is really long, it is nice that it is enthralling and that the author develops each character well. Thanks for the amazing review.

As a lover of criminal thrillers, I would like to read the novel despite that women want to obliterate the male species in the world.

I think the book is quite interesting speaking about female wanting to rule the world so I would like to read the novel and find out that's true.

I take from your review that this book is set squarely on a topic that is at the forefront of popular culture today, that of the move from a male dominated past to the rise of feminism today. It seems to deal with the consequences of what would happen if the populist view is allowed to develop towards the extreme end of the spectrum. I gather from your review that the way this concept develops in the book as to where we could potentially be headed on this continuum will be thought provoking.

Your review is comprehensive and informative and leaves me intrigued as to what the outcome and lasting consequences of the impending revolution will be! I’m adding this to my “want to read shelf”.

Thanks for the review.

When I observe men harassing women or anyone else for simply being who they are, I strive to stand up. By the same token, it is equally incorrect to conclude that all men are terrible based on the behavior of a small number of them. I anticipate enjoying this one. I appreciate the review.

The opening paragraph of this review effectively sets the stage for the reader, introducing the dystopian world created by the author. The mention of "a string of ruthless attacks on women" and the "massacre of 2034" immediately grabs the reader's attention, creating a sense of urgency and intrigue. It's a compelling way to draw readers into the unique premise of the book, where women dominate all facets of power, and men are marginalized.

This reminds me of an alternate history where a plague wiped out majority of the male species and they became rare in the old Chinese empire. As a fan of dystopian stories, I'd love to read how the ending of this story will turn out. The characters have interesting personalities. Congratulations on the BOTD.

The book's exploration of gender dynamics in a futuristic setting is captivating. I'm eager to delve into the lives of the diverse characters, as well as the intricate world-building that includes nanobots and fringe groups.
