I’m looking forward to digging this novel to be with John Jones as he explores the mystery of the ancient box he found. Will he be a victim or survive a vampire attack? I like reading vampire stories and this one seems to be right up my alley.

This sounds like an interesting story. A villain becoming the hero. John Jones should have let what he witnessed pass, like I am letting the book pass. Congrats to the author on BOTD. Nice review.

Imagine a bombshell being dropped on you: humans coexist with vampires. In addition, there's a kidnap! How will the events affect the teenager's life? Too bad about the errors. I love the plot, nonetheless.

I have sampled this book, and I agree with the reviewer about the abundance of violence. But then vampire thrillers are bound to have it. I am glad to learn from the review that there is more to this book than the conversion of Carl Lewis into a vampire and other vampires feeding on and burying humans.

I loved this review. Well done. Having only sampled the book I did wonder how it may continue. Alexander seemed to be a vampire with a conscience even if he couldn't control himself. I wondered how bad he actually was. Seems his mission is altruistic, despite being a vampire. A vampire co existing in the world of mankind. Creepy. How he is ever going to succeed is a different matter. I categorically don't like books about vampires. I am too squeamish. That said, I agree that for those that enjoy this genre it could earn 4 out of 4 if the corrections were made. Well done BOTD. Great review.

This sounds like a perfectly creepy story!! I’m disheartened to hear of all the errors, as there’s nothing worse than errors tracking from the charm of a good fictional story. I love this genre so I will still have to try it out!

I'm not a vampire story type of guy, but the sample I read looked as though I could enjoy the book. Good review by Prisallen.

This fantasy thriller about good verses evil vampires sounds like it is full of action, adventure, and suspense. I like that this book can be read as a standalone in this series. Great review!

A very exciting, if gory beginning to this vampire tale. Alexander McGill is an intriguing character who possesses an admirable selfless quality despite his circumstances. After young John Jones unwittingly stumbles on to a box containing the information that could destroy Alexander, he is kidnapped, putting him in mortal danger, he is saved by Alexander, our unlikely hero. This is definitely a page turner with vivid descriptions. There is a battle between good and evil. Will Alexander be able to defeat the vile, immoral ones bent on human destruction? A fascinating read! I am also interested in other books in this series. Very good review. :)

Children of the Eighth Day sounds too interesting! However, I’m skeptical about taking it up due to the violent themes. Congrats on the BOTD!

Good vs Evil is such a recurring theme in life, and from your review it sounds like this book has a good connection. Vampires thought of as evil, yet a vampire being portrayed as good and the hero trying to save humanity. Sounds like a thrilling read!

At first, I thought this might be a book for a teen audience, but if there's swearing and violence, then probably not. It's a shame about all the errors, but despite that, I think I'll still read it as I like this genre.
