I'm not a gambler, so I cannot connect with this book in the same way as someone who's always at the table gambling away. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

I know someone who was addicted to gambling and I've seen how this habit affected their family life. I enjoy crime-thrillers and I want to know what CDC is hiding, so I'll be checking this book out when I get the time.

I had a family member that has a gambling addiction when he was about in his early twenties. I saw first hand how he sold all of his family's cars, and my grandma had to ban him from the casino personally. Reading this may be hard to digest for me because of that experience.

Thank you for the review, however !

Gambling can be a serious addiction with easy access to online platforms. I like the sound of the book. Seems informative about the dark side of it. Congrats on BOTD!!

Thanks for this review. This book seems interesting though I'm not really into gambling. However, I still want to witness the corruption and manipulation happening in the story. I'm looking forward to read this.

I am not into gambling, however I love watching movies based on gambling; ocean 13, 21 and Mississippi grind topping the list. It sounds like an interesting book that gives you an authentic insight on how the manipulation and corruption works. Would like to read it. Congrats on BOTD.

I love reading books about what goes on in casinos though I have never been in one. I wonder what's the connection between the CDC and the casino. Congrats on the BOTD.

Casinos and gambling are certainly exciting topics. I am curious to see if Cara ever found a correlation between gambling and suicide due to its addictive nature. This book sounds like it would be exciting to read so congratulations on BOTD.

To me, gambling is not a good way of making money. No wonder there's a suicide case in the book due to online gambling. I'll pass this one because am not a fan of gambling. Thanks for the well-written and informative review.

Your review highlighted all the basic details needed to get a reader hooked. I'm not a fan of casinos and gambling, yet your review has explicitly got me curious, and I can't wait to get a copy of this book. Congratulations on being the Book of The Day.

I've not really understood the concept of gambling and casinos and I never really fancied it. It's interesting to see and read a book that centers around it. I find it very unique because I've never read one before. People who enjoy the concept of casinos and gambling would very much enjoy this book.

It's a pity how this gambling industry is allowed to prey on the weaknesses of people. I didn't know about the 30-second bell and whistle thing to make people think someone has won. How manipulative! Nice work on the review!
