Very interesting book. Thank you author. Since Frankie is out from prison who was given the task by his dead friend to do the killing and having been given a portion of the dead friend's money. This content is more like a mob situation that went bad. Good book yo read!!

I am not into Italian crime type of books, but since there is such a nice work of writing, I may give it a try!

I am looking forward to dig into this intriguing novel to find out how Jimmy will be able to carry out his friend's dying wish without getting killed himself by those after his gifted money. It seemed to be an action-filled suspense novel. Congrats!

This seems like a good mafia crime story. Frankie seems to be a good person, trying to clean his life up. But, unfortunately, it seems he is being drawn back into a life of danger. Congratulations on BOTD. Great review. I believe I will pass on this book for now. I feel it may be a subject that is not right for me at this time.

This book sounds like an interesting mob treasure hunt. However, since it is also second in the series, I’d rather not read it and will read the first one before this one. I’m disappointed in the fairly detailed summary of the first book. However, the point seems to be to read this as a stand-alone. The summary could have been included throughout the book in various ways so the intrigue was increased.

Thanks for the comprehensive review! I enjoyed reading it. Do you suppose, with the synopsis of the previous book's plot at the first, that this could be read and enjoyed as a standalone? You said you hadn't read the previous book, but while reading this one, did you ever feel a bit lost even with the synopsis? Great review.

By Hook or by Crook by Al Marsigli is a book that tell the story of mafia gangs. The title tell you it's a despirado all out move to gain popularity, influence, money or whatever is at stake by all possible means. It's an interesting story to learn from. Thanks for the review.

The plot seems intriguing; I would like to dig into the rest of the story. Moreover, I like that I don't have to read the first book to understand this one.
