This book seems to be an intriguing story. I would want to know why Joey was in a coma. Was it as a result of Lindsey's treatment of him? Nice review!

The characters of Dr. McCall and Kate Townsend sound well-developed, with distinct personalities and motivations that drive the narrative forward. By exploring the experiences of transgender individuals and their families, the novel can foster empathy and a deeper understanding of their struggles.

This book explores the contentious issue of gender transition in children, presenting balanced views on medical intervention and the ethical complexities involved. The narrative provokes thoughtful consideration about the implications of gender identity and religious influences on these decisions. Nice review.

I like it that Wilder jas provided reference sources that readers can always refer to, especially when authenticating Lin's arguments. Thank you for the review.

This seems like an interesting book covering the controversies of gender switch and transitioning. I also see the debate in the comment section. That is also intriguing. Congratulations on winning BOTD.

Plausible Liars" by Lin Wilder is a gripping thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Wilder masterfully weaves together intricate plotlines, complex characters, and unexpected twists that will leave you guessing until the very end. The protagonist's struggle with moral dilemmas adds depth to the story, making it more than just a typical suspense novel. Wilder's writing style is engaging and her attention to detail brings the story to life, making it a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers.

Joey asks Lindsey to help him detransition because he doesn’t want to continue transitioning. While Lindsey is away, Joey is rushed to the hospital and is in a coma. The reviewer recommends *Plausible Liars* to readers who like books based on faith. Catholicism and transgender ideology are discussed in detail.

Detransition is not a topic that I have in mind, but because of this book covering it, I somehow find it to have some appeal to me.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I'm glad that you liked the book. I don't know much about this topic, but I'm glad that the author shows no bias for or against it as she writes. I'm not catholic, but I am a Christian. I am willing to read this book in order to learn more. Since it is edited professionally and we have been given the book free, that should be easy to accomplish.

We are in a world where everyone wants to choose their gender, and imitate those of the gender he or she chooses. I want to know what happened to McCall after the charge of hate crime. Congrats on the BOTD!

I appreciate books that tackle controversial topics, such as transgender issues, because they provide readers with perspectives beyond their own. Exploring these themes helps foster understanding and empathy, allowing us to see the world through different eyes. Personally, I believe hormone blockers should not be administered to children. The reason for my stance is that, as we grow and mature, our perspectives and desires often change. Choices made in childhood may not align with our adult selves. Administering hormone blockers at a young age carries significant risks, including potential permanent damage, which can have lifelong repercussions. The physical and emotional well-being of children should be carefully considered, ensuring that any medical interventions are truly in their best interest. The topic is complex and multi-faceted, and books addressing it can help spark important conversations about medical ethics, personal autonomy, and the evolving understanding of gender identity. This makes such literature invaluable for broadening our societal discourse. Thanks for the review. Congratulations to the author on BOTD.

I am glad writers are picking up this topic. The current manner children's are ushered to transition needs to be addressed. More and more adults are coming out that transitioned as kids and now regret it. Very curious about what the author has to say through this fiction story. Seems like they are trying to give both sides their voice.

I don't think I would take my child seriously if they said that they wanted to be another gender when they were below the age of 14. After 14vyears, children can now practically think for them selves so if they were above that age, I would take them seriously.

However, I would do my best to make sure they appreciate there current gender.

As a person interested in Catholic medical ethics, I will definitely take a look at this book. It already piques my curiosity particularly when it touches on children.
