"Cruel Lessons" tackles significant issues like drug use in schools with suspenseful twists and well-developed backstories. A compelling read for adults interested in crime mysteries despite its heavy themes.

It does sound like the police decided to arrest the least likely person. The people responsible must have such power to threaten Assistant Superintendent Ken Park, and the threat must mean he's getting close. I hope he is able to protect his loved ones and get to the bottom of it anyway. Congrats on BOTD!

I love how the review highlights the suspense and unpredictability in "A Fine Line." The portrayal of different eras and the detailed character arcs sound fascinating.

Drug abuse by young people is a contemporary issue that is getting really rampant and Cruel Lessons highlights on this . However, I don't like the fact that Jennifer who is their teacher was accused of indulging then. Nice review

It sounds like an intriguing plot lies within these pages. I would like to know what becomes of the investigation. I hope such tattoos never exist in real life.

To be kind or show mercy to other people is very good thing but sometimes can come to haunt you like Jennifer a teacher who just wanted to help struggling kids ended in jail, now the huge question is how is she going to deal with her accuser's will she punish sh them for their actions or she will forgive and forget.

It is not long before the Board and local police blame Jennifer, a compassionate teacher who showed special interest in helping the deceased boys. After her arrest, Ken works to free her as they have a history, and he is convinced she is innocent. Is she part of a drug operation targeting kids or is she a scapegoat for something bigger?
- Most often the innocent are really inocent but sometimes they are not. They do it with good intentions- maybe to save a family member or a good deed for a worthy friend. This review made me interested in reading the book. Thank you.
