To go into the Promised Land, you have to be willing to deal with things that you know are limiting you. The Psalmist said, “God keep me from lying to myself.” That’s a powerful prayer. It’s much better to be open and honest.

A book with romance, mystery, and murder, full of suspense, sounds interesting. I'm curious about the past and the secrets linked to the two skeletons discovered by Alice Tanner at the river after decades of being dead, and about how the lives of Alice, Ruby, and Luke are linked. Thanks for the review!

In *Mayflies* by Pam Keevil, Alice Tanner discovers the skeletons of a woman and child, disrupting the life of landowner Luke Carlyle, who meets Ruby Allen at her grandmother’s funeral. Their complex relationships unfold amid themes of love, loss, and ambition. Keevil expertly captures the setting and character emotions, making the reader feel part of the village’s life. The author’s vivid descriptions and character development keep the suspense alive until the end. Highly recommended for fans of mystery and romance. Adding it to my reading list! 📚✨

As a prospective reader, this review of Mayflies by Pam Keevil paints a picture of a novel rich in emotion, mystery, and interconnected relationships. The intriguing setup, with Alice discovering decades-old skeletons and the intertwining lives of Luke, Alice, and Ruby, suggests that the story will explore both the emotional and suspenseful sides of human connections.
