There are a few lessons to learn from this book as it involves family. The author did a good job, and I'd love to read this book. Thanks for your honest review.

Interesting to hear that I can enjoy the book without the context of the preceding two. Anything to do with cartels and their struggle for domination is always an interesting read. Good job for the great review.

I like that this book can be read as a standalone despite being third in the series. This is a great crime-thriller. Well-written, suspenseful, gripping, and touches on family, love, betrayals and other themes that make it a masterpiece. I really enjoyed the review. Great job!

The Mexican drug cartel business is one of violence and bloodshed. Thankfully, Jacobs is willing to go to the extreme to keep his family safe. There is great family unity with Jim and Linda, parents of Jacob, playing an integral role.

I have not come across a fiction book that portrays cartels and their lives , though am sure they are out there. This really caught my attention because I am interested in cartel stories. I love how the author weaves in family and love in the midst of betrayal and war. This is a really insightful review. Thanks.

I wonder what was Maximillian's betrayal that was to the advantage of Edward's family which would have angered Boris upon finding out.

Family rivalry is a common thing among Italians and Latin Americans. This book seemed to have captured this well. I'd love to read it.

The review surely piques my interest. Although I'm not a fan of books revolving around the mafia, I would like to know what happened to Edwards family afterwards. The mafia is usually unforgiving. Great review.

I never liked the genre of this novel, but the criticism really makes me doubt the nature of my qualities, especially when I read quotes such as "where it goes, I go, and it's final". At least I would like to know more, and I say thank you for this interesting review.

The book sounds interesting. How the Edwards family rally together against the death penalty awarded by mafia cartels is thrilling and suspenseful. Thanks for the review!!

I can not agree more about the plot and the flow of the scenes. I have already read, enjoyed, and reviewed this last installment of The Last Enemy series.

Your review of this book is captivating and insightful. Hendrickson's unique character development is amazing. The themes explored in this book are great. I love the portrayal of the characters, Jim and Linda Edwards. They reflect the ideal responsibility of parents: protecting their children from danger and negative influences.
