This sounds like a very cool to book to read and I am hoping that the author makes this a series of books. I watched a lot of jewelry television when I was recovering from appendix surgery a couple of years ago, so I learned about pearls. I do like that the story has many twists and turns to keep the reader's attention.

Diamonds and pearls sounds like a weak story, that lacks character. Maybe it's just because I'm not too interested in thrillers. Excellent review.

Good review. I love thriller and mystery. I want to know what happens with the pearl jewelry. I’ll add this to my must reads.

"Crime and mystery" these are enough to make me read this book. It appears to be a great read especially with the intertwining of characters. Congrats on BOTD!

So now I'm curious: if you didn't know pearls came from living creatures, where did you think they came from? :) Thanks for your review. It sounds like an interesting and enjoyable read. I agree, a book as well-edited as you say this one is, is a rare gem.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this review. Enough to make me want to read the book! I like the description of how the characters get involved with each other. That left me with questions I would hope the book could answer. Great review!

I read all three chapters on the sample and was so disappointed when it ended. I really began to get engrossed in this story, definitely my type of book.

Your review gave a good overview of the book. I now understand the relationship between the title and the story. However, I can see it's not the type of book I would read so will pass for now. Thanks for the review

I'm always looking for a great attention-grabbing crime and mystery story and it sounds like Ayotte's work may just be the book I'm searching for.
