I like the synchronization of the events. The poem "The Collector", which is written also by Kaylin McFarren, was the most I liked. It describes Poe's family struggles and their fight against evil.
Reading is a journey to the world.

I'm very sure that Poe killing his son had everything to do with Crighton, but I'll need to read the book to find out.

Sounds like a very scary but also intriguing story. I like the facts there are demons and supernatural beings in the story. This at least makes a little excuse for Poe's heinous act. Congrats on BOTD!!

Wow, this seems like a really thrilling book! Glad to see that it's interspersed with moments of humour like the hair-combing. Thanks for the great review!

A devil and an angel in love must be the ultimate in star-crossed romances. McFarren continues to dazzle me with her imagination. I believe those awards are well-deserved.

I have read this book and the intense emotional rollercoaster I was on was amazing. There is so much going on Crighton betrays Lucifer and is on the run with his mother, he is falling in love with Ariel and finding out his father is alive and is an angel. This journey takes the reader on a rollercoaster of emotions and I enjoyed it. Great review and congrats to the author for the BOTD selection.

Thanks for your review. This sounds like an interesting crime novel laced with fantasy and paranormal aspects, making us wonder if Poe really is the fearsome murderer people think he is.

I am just wondering, how do the Masters of both the supernatural realms take to their servants' fraternizing with the enemy in both cases? I look forward to finding out which of the two, Crighton or Ariel, relents in their beliefs. Congrats on being the BOTD.

I find the read quite enticing. The angle of a forbidden romance will definitely lighten up the tension of the supernatural mystery. Thank you for the review.

This book sounds intriguing. At the very least, I’m curious as to how the two parts come together apart from the common denominator of Crighton. Of course, both parts have plenty of potential on their own, but the transition/tie-in might be tricky to accomplish, so I wonder how the author pulls it off. Thank you for the helpful review.

Honestly, I had a hard time understanding what was being said. With only a page and a half to read, it's quite hard to give a full "good" or "bad" review. I didn't really enjoy the whole rhyming, not my thing.
