Chasing time by Thomas Reilly, is an interesting book having a blend of history fiction with sci-fi.
It was well written and I love its complexity.
Thanks for such a great review

The plot sounds compelling, and I’m intrigued by this “Janus key”. Time travel is a bit hit-and-miss with me, preferring it in comedies (such as one of my favorites, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court) over more series works, but it might work here if it doesn’t involve trying to change the past, just heal his wife for a longer future together. The cancer part might also hit a bit too close to home since my grandpa died of leukemia, but that could also make the emotional elements more powerful for me. Thank you for the helpful review.

The more places you'll go.

Great work on the review. Your review grabbed my full interest when you mention about the family theme. Also, it's rare to find any author explaining in detail about medical and scientific terms.

Ann sounds like a good person because her illness affected a lot of people including the kids, I will add it to my bookshelves.

The fantasy and mystery in this story got my attention. The topic of illness however, sounds a bit too sad for me as a reader. I'm sure Tony will do everything he can to save his wife's life though.

As a tale that seamlessly incorporates history, a thrilling search for a cure, and supernatural themes, this novel would be right up my alley. Thanks for the review and the recommendation!

Chasing Time is an exciting read. Tony, as a youngster is inquisitive and seems eager for adventure; as an adult, he is more subdued with serious responsibilities. However, it's the knowledge gained as a young person that will assist him in his adult years. The reader will be enthralled by a touch of whimsical enchantment and fantasy. Thanks for your review.

I'm curious. Is Lucius Antonius Anthony Lucas? Your review is a bit unclear about whether they're the same person but in different universes, countries, or time periods, or is it just one person being referred to. If so, is there a reason for the change in spelling?

The Janus key sounds important given that Tony has so much hope in its healing abilities. However, while I wonder what a key can do to heal a terminal disease, I must remember this is a work of fiction. Looking forward to seeing how this plot unfolds.
