The review is laid out well and lacks spoilers. I am not a big fan of vampire books, but the review sounds so good I think I will take a chance on this one.

I've never been a fan of vampires, but this is actually a good book. From the beginning he jumped off the deep end, and that's what I like about it. Books always capture my attention,if it starts out with action from beginning to end. Appreciate the review.

It sounds like "Children of the Eighth Day: An Alexander McGill Adventure" offers an engaging storyline with its blend of suspense and fantasy elements. The creative imagination of the author and the suspenseful chapters seem to have kept your attention throughout. The only drawback you mentioned was the abundance of errors, which a professional editor could potentially help address. Your recommendation for readers who enjoy suspenseful books about vampires is noted.

Thank you for reviewing the book. It gives an idea of what one should expect from the book. You also mentioned about the errors which will be really helpful to the author and editors.

The underlying theme is good versus evil, although it is not always clear where one ends and the other begins. Alexander is a vampire who craves blood and must obtain it to survive. However, he is trying desperately to save mankind from the vampires who regard ordinary humans as toys—to be tortured, raped, fed on, and eventually killed.
That's a great statement right there. In my opinion, the best books are the ones in which the line between good and evil becomes a little fuzzy, especially in the C/T/M/H genre.
Great review!

I've always been terrified to read about vampires or see any vampire-related movies, but I think I'm going to start changing my opinion soon. I WOULD like to explore and read about more of this kind of story line..

I liked the beginning of this paranormal story. When John enters a vacant house, reads the journal written by a vampire, and finds himself in a horrific situation. I would love to read this intriguing story to know how John tackles this mysterious situation.

Excellent review! Been a while since I've gotten wrapped up in a vampire book. This one sounds to have more plot than usual, which is also enticing.

At first I thought it's a children's book based on the cover, but I realized the violent content is not appropriate for kids. The protagonist's curiosity brought him to the world of the vampires, and their existence might cause the doom of humanity. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Thank you for the great review. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, but it's sad there were so many errors after writing such a long book. From sampling it I could tell the author made it very interesting, but vampires are just not my thing. I will save it for those that enjoy that genre.

My genre but not my favorite storyline. I don't enjoy books about vampires or zombies. But incredible review. As someone mentioned, I got a visual experience reading about Alexander and his journals. His long life and the many places he lived were of interest as well. Unfortunate about all the errors that a good editor could fix. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!
