This book sounds interesting. It indeed sounds like the screenplay for a movie. Addictive painkillers and the manufacturers were not promptly prosecuted? There's also some suspense about what happens to Chris' friend.

I commend the author for highlighting how over reliance on pharmaceutical products is addictive in the long run. Thank you for your thorough review.

This is such an important topic. Many of us don't realize the serious implications that these types of medications can have for ourselves. The way the story is woven makes it easier for one to connect with those who are going through these difficult situations and gives us a better understanding, which is highly appreciated.

The problem with health care is that they often prescribe strong medicine which is harmful for our body and mental health. Among all the things that I loved about this book is that it stood against such simple yet dangerous threat of medicine addiction. It is no game to loose someone to the very thing that is supposed to keep them healthy.

Hi @Annalisa Whyte, I just read your comments on the official review of "The Prescription" and I agree that the pharmaceutical companies should be held accountable for the addictions and overdoses. It is very sad that they put profits over lives. @Mrlefty0706

It is amazing how you managed to see the great importance of this book. His subject is very important. That is why I think that everyone should read it. When I was a teenager, we talked about the medical drugs on social lessons. I think that every school should teach it. I really feel that you enjoyed the book. Thank you.

I have read and heard stories of people getting addicted to seemingly harmless prescription painkillers after suffering severe injuries. Well done to the author, K C Gilbert, for exploring the subject, as I don't think the topic gets the attention it deserves.

This is an interesting book about substance abuse among youth which is a result of the use of addictive painkillers. Why are the authorities so lax in regulating the pharmaceutical industries that produce these addictive painkillers? Perhaps this book may give clues.
