I really like the sound of this story. It's as if the average guy were to tag along with a less suave and unreliable Indiana Jones! What kinds of crazy adventures would they get up to? I'm only sad to hear this novella is 86 pages, I would love it if this idea were a full length novel.

Fun BOTD! I could use an adventurous, short read right now - even better it's a mystery! Thank you for your review. I'm looking forward to checking this one out some more. :-)

From this book it seems that the entire series will be worth a read. Anyone interested in this genre will be awestruck.

Going through your review I noticed that you didn't observe any put-offs (or at least you didn't state any) in the book.I can therefore conclude that this work is perfect. Martin Jones did good on this one and your review is nothing short of fantastic. I'm definitely adding this to my bookshelf

I would read this book to find out where the mask went. It sounds like a good story to read. The reviewer did a good job of drawing you into the book.

George Melville is up for the task, although he finds himself facing more than he expected. With help from Agent McAlistair, he is sure to find the Mask of Perpetuity and return it to its rightful place. It sounds to be a bit scary, but full of fun, even if George has no confidence in the agent.

The best part about this book is how the characters seem real. We see George being terrified witless a lot of the time due to the events unfolding around him. This makes him more relatable. A short read that's also a mystery? A winner for me!

A short book like this set in 1930s is definitely my type of book. Another book to my tbr list.

This sounds really interesting and I'd like to read it as soon as possible. Adventure books of that time period are quite hard to come by, so I'd love to get myself a copy of this, if not the whole series.
I feel like this book would help to give people a better understanding of how things used to work in that time period, as well as the nature of life in exotic places such as old China.
I absolutely can't wait to read this!

George Melville is an ordinary citizen that gets wrapped up in helping the British secret agent recover a stolen Chinese artifact in the 1930s. George sounds like a relatable character and the book sounds entertaining and original. Great review.

Reading the first few pages of the book and this review I couldn't help feeling deja vu. This is the kind of thriller and mystery I use to spend hours on reading. :D

It's already in my reading list. :D I just haven't found time for it though. :cry2:
